After dropping Forest Hill Drive an album with no features that went two time platinum J. Cole has finally brought the Cole World an early Christmas Gift. On Thursday, December 1st an announcement of a fourth album surfaced on iTunes, and that album is called "4 Your Eyez Only." Not only do J. Cole fans get an album, but on Friday, December 2nd a 40-minute documentary was released exclusively on TIDAL, this documentary was titled "Eyez." The documentary gives an overview of the musical process of making "4 Your Eyez Only", while also giving fans a glance into his everyday life since dropping Forest Hill Drive.
The visual also highlights J. Cole traveling back and forth from North Carolina and New York where he was recording at Electric Lady Studios. While in the studio J. Cole expresses frustration of rules in place during the musical decision “While I’m here let me use this opportunity to say the realest Sh*t I’ve said.” During the documentary, fans also get a sneak peak of mini videos and songs featured on "4 Your Eyez Only." Eyez hinted at two possible names of those songs “False Prophets” and "Everybody Dies Interlude."
After just one day Cole is also causing controversy, many have speculated that Cole is coming for Kanye and his recent music, while others are convinced that Cole is also coming for Wale. But who really knows? J. Cole is definitely the topic of conversation everywhere, especially on Twitter. Memes have been made, fans express happiness, and of course the J. Cole haters are back not ready to accept the Cole World has arrived.
But for Cole World the album is available for pre-order and is expected to be released Friday, December 9th.
